Puzzle data and progress#
Lab Sudoku stores active puzzles, solving progress, checkpoints, bookmarks, and statistics as part of the app experience. Before changing devices or reinstalling, review the app’s current transfer or backup options and do not assume progress will automatically follow your Google Play account.
Camera access#
Camera import uses Google Play services’ document scanner and on-device recognition when you choose to scan a puzzle. Avoid including unrelated personal information in a scan, review the recognised grid, and remove any source images you do not need. See Camera import privacy and troubleshooting for practical guidance.
Premium verification#
Premium is a non-consumable Google Play purchase. Restoring Premium requires the Google Play account that owns the purchase and may require an internet connection. The app’s purchase verification and the current Google Play account determine entitlement; the Premium guide explains the recovery steps.
Analytics and third-party services#
The release build uses Firebase Analytics for feature events and Firebase Crashlytics for error diagnostics. Premium verification and promotions use an anonymous Firebase identity. Optional Daily Challenge comparison sends result metrics such as completion time, mistakes, and hints used; it does not publish your name.
The Lab Sudoku Privacy Policy provides the complete current summary. Read it before deciding what diagnostic information to share.
When reporting a puzzle or recognition problem, send a redacted screenshot or puzzle description rather than personal photos, account details, or unrelated files.
See Data deletion for local app storage, source images, online records, and privacy requests.
