Compatibility

Supported Android versions
#

Budgie requires Android 13 or later (API 33). Lab Sudoku requires Android 8.0 or later (API 26). The current Lab Merge development build also supports Android 8.0 or later, although final public compatibility will be confirmed at release. Google Play remains the source of truth for compatibility with a particular device and for any newer release requirements.

Keep Google Play services and Android up to date when using purchases, restore flows, camera import, cloud-provider documents, or other platform services.

Connectivity
#

Budgie’s everyday ledger, budgets, and local reports and Lab Sudoku’s regular puzzles and core solving tools do not require a continuous connection. The current Lab Merge preview also keeps its games, custom boards, and progress locally. Cloud-provider backups, exchange-rate updates, Premium verification, promotions, app updates, and optional Daily Challenge services can require internet access.

Screen sizes and orientation
#

The applications are designed for phone-sized layouts and should be checked at the device’s normal display scale. Lab Sudoku and Lab Merge can be adjusted through their board and layout settings; Budgie’s dense tables and forms are easiest to use at the device’s normal or enlarged text size.

If a control is clipped or difficult to reach, try rotating the device, closing display magnification, or temporarily returning Android display and font size to their defaults. Report the device model, Android version, orientation, and display settings if the problem persists.

Touch, stylus, and keyboard input
#

Lab Sudoku includes configurable number-pad and board interaction options, including stylus hover feedback on supported devices. Lab Merge uses swipe, pinch, touch-and-hold, and chart-inspection gestures in the current preview. If you use a physical keyboard, game controller, or accessibility switch, verify the current app build because input support can vary by device and Android version.

Budgie is primarily touch-driven. Android TalkBack, magnification, and switch-access behavior can vary by device; report the screen and control where an accessibility label or focus order is unclear.

For accessibility options and known limitations, read the Accessibility statement. See the Support page for reporting guidance.
