Currency
#

Exchange Calculator
#

Convert an amount between two currencies using the available exchange rate. The result shows the converted amount, the rate used, and when rates were updated. A result cannot be calculated when no rate is available for the selected pair.

Borrowing and debt
#

Repayment Calculator
#

Estimate repayments and total interest from a loan amount, annual interest rate, term, and repayment frequency. Use it to compare how different rates or terms affect the cost of borrowing.

Debt Payoff Planner
#

Enter multiple debts with their balances, interest rates, and minimum monthly payments, then add any extra monthly amount. Compare:

  • Highest interest, which prioritises the most expensive debt;
  • Lowest balance, which prioritises earlier visible progress.

When a debt is paid off, its minimum payment rolls into the remaining debts. Budgie estimates the debt-free time and total interest.

Mortgage and Loan Scenarios
#

Compare a standard repayment path with additional monthly payments or a one-off lump sum. Results include estimated payoff time, interest, fees, and potential interest saved.

Debt-to-Income Calculator
#

Enter gross monthly income and monthly housing, loan, credit-card, and other debt payments. Budgie divides the obligations entered by gross income. The result is an informational ratio and does not determine eligibility for any financial product.

Saving and growth
#

Interest Calculator
#

Project balance growth from an initial deposit, regular deposits, interest rate, duration, compounding assumptions, inflation, and annual fees. The chart separates your deposits from estimated interest and can show the result in today’s money.

Savings Goal Calculator
#

Start with a target amount, current savings, expected return, and planned contribution. Use the result to estimate the time or contribution needed to reach the goal, including inflation-aware values where configured.

Emergency Fund
#

Enter current liquid savings, monthly essential spending, a target number of months, and a planned contribution. Budgie estimates your current runway, target fund, remaining shortfall, and time to target.

Retirement Projection
#

Enter your age, planned retirement age, current balance, contributions, expected return, fees, inflation, and an estimated drawdown rate. Budgie projects a retirement balance and an indicative monthly drawdown in today’s money. It does not include tax, pensions, or jurisdiction-specific rules.

Compare scenarios carefully
#

Small changes in rates, fees, inflation, and time can materially change a long-term estimate. Try several plausible scenarios, keep the assumptions consistent when comparing results, and treat the output as a planning aid rather than a guarantee.
